Hey, I'm Bobby — a home baker in Toronto who loves understanding why recipes work, not just following them.

By day I work in tech. By evening and weekend you'll find me in the kitchen, testing everything from my family's Kerala Christmas fruit cake to burnt Basque cheesecakes and delicate Japanese soufflé cheesecakes.

I started Bobby Kneads to document the journey — the wins, the flops, and the “why” behind each step. Why cream butter and sugar? Why does oven temperature matter so much? Understanding the fundamentals is what turns a recipe you followed into a bake you actually own.

And when things go sideways — they do — I try to figure out what happened and share that too. Hence the tagline: recipes, tips & the occasional happy accident.
