Hey, I'm Bobby — a home baker from Edmonton who loves understanding why recipes work, not just following them.
By day, I work in tech. By evening and weekends, you'll find me in the kitchen experimenting with everything from traditional Kerala Christmas fruit cakes (my family's recipe) to trendy Burnt Basque cheesecakes and delicate Japanese soufflé cheesecakes.
I started this blog to document my baking journey — the successes, the failures, and everything in between. I believe in sharing not just the recipes, but the "why" behind each step. Why do we cream butter and sugar? Why does the oven temperature matter? Understanding these fundamentals makes you a better baker.
When things go wrong (and they do!), I try to figure out what happened and share those lessons too. Hence the tagline: "Recipes, tips & the occasional happy accident."
